Two days “Male sensitization event on gender responsive social accountability” was held on 6 and 7 of January, 2020 with total of 45 participants including 30 influential Chepang male leaders, 13 LRPs and 2 media persons. The main objective of the event was to sensitize male champion leader about gender responsive local governance and accountability so as to ensure their maximum support for leadership development of Chepang women and to develop joint plan of mobilization for conducting various ward level and municipal level events for promotion of gender responsive local governance. The sessions on the local governance process, gender responsive budget / policy, and budget tracking was facilitated by the government facilitator while session on SA tools was facilitated by the SA Experts. The pre and post knowledge assessment exhibited 80% and 57% increase in knowledge of local planning process and gender responsive policy/budget respectively. About 37% of male also exhibited increased understanding of GESI concept and positive attitude towards shared household responsibilities. The reflection of the participants revealed their interest and commitment in providing support to the leadership development of the young Chepang women leaders.
