Beena Chepang, an active social mobilizer from Chandibhanjyang VDC, was asked a question: “Do you feel it is necessary to empower Chepang Women in your village?” “It is very necessary to empower Chepang Women because they are very shy and reluctant to talk to strangers. If they have to talk to strangers they tend to hide and talk. Some Chepang women are so shy that they cannot even tell their own names in front of the mass or to any strangers. They are unable to follow basic norms while introducing themselves in a mass, like: first greeting everyone, then telling their names and address…” she responded emphasizing the necessity and importance of empowering Chepang women.
