Coordination Meeting was conducted by the project team with the elected members, local stakeholders and local implementing partners from 9-14 May, 2019 for creating enabling environment for smooth conduction of the project in future. The project team visited Mayor of Kalika Municipality, Mr. Khum Narayan Shrestha and Mayor of Ms. Gita Gurung of Icchakamana Rural Municipality for project approval and briefing objective and activities of the project to be rolled out.
During the meeting Mr Shrestha welcome DEC Nepal in Kalika municipality and appreciated our consultation with elected local government representative and NCA for LRPs and wards selection. He suggested us to legally register in municipality with all required document along with project proposal. On 13-14th May, 2019 documents were also submitted to municipality mayors for organization registration and project approval. After project document review, Ms. Gita Gurung also proposed DEC Nepal to extend this project in 6 wards (1, 2, 3,5, 6, 7) instead of 5 wards of Icchakamana Rural Municipality. Hence, DEC-Nepal got approval to work in 6 wards of Icchakamana Rural Municipality and 5 wards of Kalika Municipality
